If you're not big on commitment but still like helping artists make a living you can make a once off Ko-fi donation. All donations go to keeping a coffee IV pumping caffeine directly into my bloodstream so that I can make art :p. Thank you!

A long while ago I did a journal about tips for freelancers and people doing commissions. I just got back from a convention and some of the interactions there made me think it's probably time for an update on some of those tips. I guess you can think of this as Tips for freelance stuff part 2 - Convention edition. 1. In a con scene, it's a good idea to have a lot of varied products. I did my first con in 2019 and I had 3 artworks that I was selling in one size. And I sold maybe 10% of those. The only other product I had were button badges and I probably sold close to 70% of those, the reason is that people come to cons for different things and if you only have one or two items especially high priced items you reduce the chances of people buying them. Also, people who love your kind of art will buy prints to hang in their homes, but everyone can appreciate things like stickers, pins, mugs, t-shirts etc. The cost to make smaller items is also a lot less so you can sell more.
